Display daily/weekly totals in list view

Open MelGrubb opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

One of the features I use a lot in Toggl is the running daily/weekly totals. It's handy to know how far under or over my target hours I am. The weekly total is useful the same way when it gets late on a Friday and there's no more brain left.

A simple daily/weekly total in the header of the list view would let users easily see how much they've worked today/this week.

Could be added, but it may be misleading in some cases, as traggo allows multiple time spans to be active at the same time, so the daily total could exceed 24hours. Let's wait for more people to want this feature.

This could be very handy in my opinion. You can already use the "total" summary in the dashboad entry "HorizontalTable", where the total hours can be >24 hours for a day, so this behaviour already exists. Would be nice to tab week by week and have sums of the hours worked directly displayed on days and weeks of the tab.

I also think this would be useful.

It would be extremely helpful! I'd like to use traggo for time tracking but the lack of this functionality is stopping me because it is very unhandy to not know how many hours you have worked during the day or the week.

@cyb3rm00n You can already get these statistics via the dashboard feature.

Thanks for the info. However, I feel that option is a workaround, it doesn't feel very convenient because in the daily use of the tool I am not looking at the dashboards, I am using the "List" or "Calendar" view, so having to change the view to find out this info does not make a lot of sense to me. I think the dashboards are more for work analytics rather than basic tracking of how much hours I have worked in general during the week or day, which would make more sense in the "List" or "Calendar" view.
