Minecraft Capes mod ears visible in first person

I’m not sure when this issue started, since I haven’t played Minecraft in a while. I remember previously playing with both the Ears from the Minecraft Capes mod and this mod, and back then the problem didn’t exist. Now, however, I can see my ears in first-person view, and there doesn’t seem to be an option to hide them when using the first-person camera. images for reference
