this happens with vanilla bows and crossbows as well (at least with version 2.5.0 on forge 1.20.1)
NEA provides settings to use an alternative bow animation that doesnt block the camera, if the custom bows use their own animation, then there is nothing I can do. With the crossbow I'll have to check, but thats an issue for NEA, less Firstperson mod.
I can suggest that "Standing/Sitting/Sneaking Y Offset" and "hands trasparency" options can fix the issue
Transparency can't/won't be happening due to technical reasons. Y offsets wouldn't help in this case and also won't happen because they just would cause visual issues and nothing else. Make sure the custom bow animation is turned on in NEA, and as I said, crossbow I'll see if I can replicate that, then I'll add a fix to NEA.
