Responses may fail if you're logged into multiple Google accounts including the Form Owner

It appears if you are logged into multiple gmail accounts in your web browser, including the form owner, the submission will fail.

  1. Follow all instructions from README
  2. Be logged in to multiple Google accounts including the form Owner
  3. Fill in your custom form and hit submit
  4. See failed response in Network Tab in the Developer Console

If this happens, take out target="hidden_form in the <form> field in your source document and try again. This will allow the redirect to occur.

You are likely sent to a "Choose an account to use with Google Drive:" webpage.

I am not experienced enough in the web to determine the exact case in which this happens. But it tripped me up for a while.

  • Using an Incognito Window fixed this.
  • Logging out of all my accounts fixed it.
  • Logging back into my accounts one at a time, the submit failed after logging into the owner of the form. That is, still logged into the other accounts as well.
  • Logging out of the owner fixed it.
  • Logging into the Owner account as the only google account fixed it.
