Inner/Outer Container Padding

In the GP theme, padding is added to the "inner" container. It would be great if there were an option to add it to the outer container instead. I realize there's a lot of backward compatibilities to consider for just switching where the padding is... but if it were possible to add an option to the theme to tell it where you want the padding to be applied that would be super helpful.
