Anyone know of alternatives? Seems like this project is no longer maintained?
Anyone know of any alternatives to taskbar-groups? It is a shame that Windows does not allow this out of the box 😢
The last active fork was https://github.com/PikeNote/taskbar-groups-pike-beta, though that was last updated 1 year ago.
Windows does kinda allow this out of the box as "jump lists", though you'll need a tool like one of these to customise them.
Probably the best alternative to taskbar groups is Stacky, which does the same thing as TaskbarGroups, but is better:
- written in C++
- fast (caches icons)
- Works on older versions of Windows
- Managed by native Windows functions (folders, shortcuts)

THANKS!! 4th one I've tried, works great. May throw rando errors during setup so Save Often. 1st one i've seen that has Import/Export feature
