Hi, I was trying to confirm that. I happens to me once, but then on the next search I was able to find the keyword within the body. Could it be that it takes time for the search which is not visible in the UI (like loader or something)?

Hi, I can confirm the bug.

Device Model: Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Android Version: 15 OneUi 7.0 App: Thunderbird for Android 11.0 from F-Droid

Searching on the server side (IMAP) for text in the subject works. Searching on the server side (IMAP) for text in the E-Mail body does not work.

I think I have the same issue.

The search function seems to find only local emails downloaded on the device.

Emails on the IMAP server are not found (this works when using the Outlook android client).

TB 13.0b4, Play Store, Pixel 7

Same here, search is dysfunctional for me. I can't find any mail, whether searching localnor by clicking the server icon. If I search it in GMail, it is working.

I'm experiencing the same issue as wurstsemmel with Gmail:

Searching on the server side (IMAP) for text in the subject works. Searching on the server side (IMAP) for text in the E-Mail body does not work.

How can this bug be unfixed and even undiscussed after 4 months? Searching and finding mail is a crucial part of an email application, but it doesn't seem to bother here.

Well, maybe only very few people are affected and the issue is related to an incompatible MAP server side configuration? It may be related to the E-Mail provider we are using?

In my case I am using mailbox.org.

Could be, but at least for me it is affecting my mailbox.org and my Gmail account, no difference.

I didn’t know it could also be server side configuration. Is there anything I could check?

Nevertheless using Outlook app the search works, so I doubt it’s the configuration of the server.
