I tested on my local server but I don't use `artisan serve` Have you tried without ?
Dompdf has a repo but this is a beta so I don't know if it is a good thing to switch to this version.

Apparently this is a known bug. Maybe it's corrected in the 0.6.0 but this version is still in beta. You can try the barryvdh's package : https://github.com/barryvdh/laravel-dompdf
