That's not silly at all, the scheduled activation should work without manually turning on the enabled switch but you might have found a bug. I'll look into it.
Maybe try deleting and re-cloning the project, because it shouldn't link any private frameworks statically anymore. I also just pushed a new commit so it shouldn't give any warnings about...
