[svelte-kit-scss] Showcase: resolve authentication issues when running locally

Description

There is an issue currently with authentication when running the showcase locally. It spins on startup and no cookies or tokens appear to be present. Nothing displays on the screen, and there is no way to interact with the app. This will require so research to find out what the problem actually is.
