Personal Access Token Expiration
It looks like the Personal Access Tokens now expire after 24 hours.
https://account.smartthings.com/tokens https://developer.smartthings.com/docs/getting-started/authorization-and-permissions
Not sure anything can be done about this new limitation.
From that documentation it looks like tokens issued before 12/30/24 have been grandfathered for 50 years. New tokens have a 24 hour lifetime.
From https://developer.smartthings.com/docs/getting-started/authorization-and-permissions _PATs created prior to 30 December 2024 may have an expiration date of up to 50 years from the creation date, as specified when the token was created.
If your integration requires generating new PATs for ongoing access, we recommend you refactor your integration to use an OAuth flow to eliminate the need to issue new PATs._
So a new OAuth workflow needed, but since An existing OAuth-In SmartApp is required to utilize OAuth this isn't a trivial change.
Hello,
Thank you for pointing out the change regarding the tokens.
I'll try to see how it can be supported for this plugin. However it might take time as I can't work on it right now.
You are more than welcome to submit a PR if you'd like.
