We need a bit of a more catchy name for interactive-plotting. I posted in the Slack channel here for suggestions. Let's see what comes out, and let's further brainstorm here.

Something like ScanGraphs = SG or Scan Graphics sounds good to me. Anything with the word graph sounds better in my opinion than the word plot. Also, as the output is rather artistic, something like ScanArt sounds catchy and cool to me. I'll keep thinking and let you know.

Suggestions from the Pe'er lab:

• 'Interplot': I find this one really funny. Google Interpol if you don't know what it is.
• 'inter-scanpy', altough I don't like this one so much, because we are only working on the plotting part of scanpy
• 'sciplot', like you suggested, @michalk8

Scan refers to Scanpy. Interplot is funny but it doesn't refer to Scanpy. It would be Ideal it did, no?

I actually like interplot. One could also imagine the scanpy's ant dressed in trenchcoat with magnifying glass (silly idea, I know). sciplot is too close to scPlot, my other suggestin is scλplot, since the λ looks like I (for interactive) as well as A (as in sca in scanpy).

mhm I can see that. Only that it's not an ant, it's a shrimp :) But same same, the shrimp can also be dressed in a trenchcoat

but how would you pronounce it then? Plus it would be hard to type on a keybord.
