Too many sliders in scatterc

When I call scatterc with no basis specified, it loads them all in which is great but it also gives me way too many "components sliders":

One pair of sliders would be sufficient! That could just be a general pair of sliders for basis components.

One can never have too many sliders! Jokes aside, I know and will try to think of a way how to do this with only 2, since right now I don't know how I can set the ranged dynamically (or even if).

Unfortunately, I don't think there's an ideal way to go about this. The problems are as follows:

  • once the range is initialized, it cannot be changed - PCA has usually 50 dimensions present, whereas UMAP 2
  • to solves tihs, if I take the max, then there are 2 options if we are out of bounds: doing nothing or just starting back from 1 dimension
  • if showing the multiple embeddings at the same time (e.g. setting cols=1), we'd need to 1 slider per basis

Maybe I can access the slider properties through bokeh, but I'd say this this not that pressing. I want to refactor the repo (soon-ish) - e.g. do some argument pruning, etc. I'd return to this later and keep the issue open.

sounds good.
