Configuration Commands
In addition to the dashboard for managing the bot's settings within a guild I think there could be some value in having commands to toggle things off. For example auto-moderation in goatplace went haywire recently due to a bug in Dyno bot. The flow to resolve that without having to kick the bot would have been:
- Open Site
- Sign in with Discord
- Select Guild to manage settings for.
- Disable Automod.
This can be cumbersome particularly if the only people with access to the bots configuration are MIA or on Mobile. Having a simple command to toggle a feature or part of a feature on or off on a whim could be beneficial.
This is probably a poorer example because bugs like this wouldn't necessarily happen that often but in a situation that requires a quick response, reducing the amount of walls in-between an admin and what they need to do to maintain their community is an overall positive in my opinion.
We don't need to add a command for every tiny configuration that can be set but being able to toggle whole modules on and off at a minimum could be exceptionally useful.
