Ensure CLI returns helpful exit codes for CI

After adding #18, I didn't confirm if the CLI does the right thing to indicate to CI that all is well.

Acceptance Criteria:

• Confirm the cli gives helpful CI outputs
• Any 'CI' mode changes that would be helpful?
