Same issue for me on installing POD in my brand new M1 processor - OS (Big Sur) - React-Native development

Hey guys! I don't currently have an M1 to test with, but I will try to look into this shortly. If anyone with an M1 wants to troubleshoot and create a PR that would be very helpful also!
