remove insecure credential storage support

This cannot be merged until there is a better alternative. Once there is, I will consider making this support undocumented, or removing it.

Heroku has a version that supports GPG encryption: https://github.com/heroku/netrc

Supporting GPG encrypted netrc files seems like a great solution to me. If you want to implement that I will happily accept the PR.
