It is not possible to disable pings in groups

I want to sleep and receive pings only from certain pms, this is important to me, but I cannot completely mute a group with many channels (I believe they are also called "topics" in Telegram), even if notifications in this group are disabled.
Describe the solution you'd like
I want the ability to disable pings in groups with multiple channels. When someone pings you via @, an audio notification always comes.
Describe alternatives you've considered
A friend told me that turning off notifications in all groups in the system settings solves the problem, unlike turning off notifications in a specific group - it's true? Possibly. I need more tests. Upd. seems like system settings are fixing this in one way or another, but only after I disabled all notifications.
Additional context
Today I was woken up by a ping in the chat group I am in, although I was waiting for a ping only from a business chat, all notifications here were disabled, obviously.
