Extensions do not load on page refresh

Hi everyone,

We have recently found out that after refreshing the browser, some extensions seem to become stuck and never ask the user permission to load. By comparing this with sandboxed extensions (ours is network-enabled) I found it odd that those would always work and they don't ask for the user permission.

Now, if I hide the user prompts on the extensions settings, our extension loads every time the browser is refreshed.

Our extension is Write-Back, the left-most one on the dashboard in the video.

Is this a known issue and/or are you aware of a fix or mitigation for it?

Thank you for your report Bruno

This was caused by OAuth work in 2021.1. We thought we had fixed that issue, but it didn't get applied to the maintenance releases. We will have it applied to all maintenance releases coming in January for on-prem servers: 2021.4.3 2021.3.7 2021.2.8 2021.1.11 We will get it applied to online this week.
