[Feature] Add payment type to customer payments

When a customer makes a payment, it would be nice if the payment type and reference number (check number), are tracked along with the rest of the payment data.

Circling back on this upon realizing that I had forgotten about it in a buried branch and noticed it's still open. Is anyone in the community interested in having payment types and reference numbers available?

If there's interest, I can whip up a patch for /develop.
