UPCItemDB and OpenFood

Any chance that UPCItemDB and OpenFood will be integrated, or something similar, to allow for easily adding new products by searching the internet for product UPC's? There is an iOS shortcut that already uses this feature and it would be great to not have to use an iOS shortcut to accomplish this. iOS Shortcut: https://routinehub.co/shortcut/7061/
