File size increases almost 300%

I'm running into the same issue where my images filesize is being increased by 300% when using `$image->save(....);` - does anyone know whats going on?

Notice: Undefined variable: errors in class.postcontroller.php on line 237

I haven't spent much time looking at the error but I managed to fix it by changing the $errors variable with a string.
