Question - How to prefilled existing "Mention" text?

For example: If I have a text (retrieved from the backend) like this : "Calling @UserA", and I happen to know where the mention started and ended, how do I prefill the HKWTextView object/plugin, so I can start typing delete button and a whole "@UserA" will get deleted in one touch, just like I just mentioned @UserA by typing.
