Cannot install plugins: Conflict with a native feature

When I attempt to install the Markdown plugin, I get an error:

Unable to install external plugin due to a conflict with a native feature.

Am I missing something?

I am running 3.193.2-1 on Linux.

Got answer from support team, It requires subscription.
