[iOS] [Super note] Predicted words are not inserted as expected

Describe the bug

When I am typing in iOS and press backspace, then try to use a predicted word, the prediction is not inserted.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a new super note on iOS
  2. Type Word saled (note the typo) then backspace twice to have Word sal.
  3. The predicted next word (for me) is salad, but when I click to enter the prediction, it only adds a space, so I end up with Word sal rather than the expected Word salad .

Expected behavior

I expected the autocorrect experience to be the same in a super note as a plain note: clicking on the autocorrect suggested word inserts the word.

Smartphone:

  • Device: iPhone SE 2022
  • OS: iOS 17.2.1
  • Version: 3.183.39

Hi @karldw, I've been able to reproduce this, and I've reported it to one of the developers to see how it can be fixed 🙏

This is a huge annoyance for me too (iOS 17.6). Any update on a fix? It seems like a really big bug (makes typing horrible on iPhone).
