The scraper now supports MAME/FBA but using file names instead of hashing
If I understand properly there is no way I can scrape images for mame with the real name (hashes) instead of shorthened filename? Is there a way I can integrate scraped images to retroarch as it seems it only supports full names or otherwise I would have to sacrifice the playlist and put shortened names in playlist too so that they appear..
scraping mame/fba works fine. remember that the scraper doesn't rename files - it just changes the metadata.
also hashes are nothing to do with names. hashes are to do with file size.
Thanks for your reply.. Yes I understand it's working fine...infact I managed to scrape all of my collections.. My only small issue is that I cannot get retroarch to load the images of Mame/FBA/Capcom because apparently they have to be named as the full name scraped from metadata..
Retroarch? This is a scraper for emulationstation. Retroarch has it's own playlist/metadata techniques.
I got a system running AEL, Retroarch and EmulationStation...and to avoid having triple artwork for all on same system I was trying to have 1 place for artwork and all frontends look for images in same folder...it 's working fine for all other systems but not for mame due to there renaming..
