Documentation needs more information about how to pass state around

We frequently suggest the react pattern of pulling state up, e.g. to have parents own network requests and pass data down through props. This should be documented more clearly.

Also, address why we don't provide ambient state propagation for workflows, ala ViewEnvironment, inside of workflows themselves.
