Is it possible to make Inkpad work nicely on the iPhone?
When I first started the project that became Inkpad, the iPad didn't exist and I was building it for the iPhone. It obviously makes a lot more sense on a bigger screen, but is there a way we can create a decent experience on an iPhone-sized screen? Perhaps with fewer features? Thoughts?
I think the iPhone's feature is browsing, sharing, free-hand drawing, weakening editing features, and less screen elements. Scroll in the vertical direction while browsing drawings. Allow immediate hide the button panel. It is best to use social tools to share drawings.
I'm experimenting with something now. I will push the branch soon.
I have created a new branch phone_3fix with three submits based on the phone branch. Would you please review to see if the submits can be merged to the phone branch?

I would love an iPhone edition! Full featured would be my preference. It would enable me to "capture" ideas on the go and then work on them later in the iPad version.
after-thought: maybe you could simplify the app for iphone by removing: gradient editors, swatches, alignment features, text features? shadow support, blur support. reduce some of the line stylings? maybe limit to 2 layers, and if they load in a svg with multiple layers the other layers are read only? I could live with those limitations. "InkPad Express" :)
Thanks for reviewing this. This gets more and more relevant as Apple increases screen sizes for iPhones. I really trust you guys could successfully make a small screen edition work, even if it only has basic functionality.
I would also love Inkpad on iPhone. I have the 6 Plus and I think it has more than enough screen realestate for a full-featured version of Inkpad. Some clever menu UI could also make it quite plausible on smaller iPhone screens.
I had been using my iPad exclusively for the past few years, and so Inkpad was a pretty important app for me. I can’t find anything quite comparable for Mac (just re-upgraded to a MacBook again). I am trying to learn Pixelmator’s dorky attempt at vector editing (“Vectormator”) and also considering forking out for Illustrator or iDraw. But Inkpad on my iPhone would be perfect. Also, it’s just a damn fine app and I miss it.
Also… how about Inkpad on Mac? I’ll open another issue for this.
I believe someone has done it, but it's full of ads, and not native support for iPhone 6+. Vector Illustrator ™ by iOS Pedia Inc. https://appsto.re/no/dIYpU.i I would love a proper iPhone 6+ version by the original developer. I was using it for the iPad a LOT. It is seriously the best vector app.
For the iPhone 6+ I don't think you'll need fewer features.
