any plans to include 'job' functionality?

curious if you guys have started or are thinking about adding a job command, similar to hadoop job list/kill ?

Yes, that might be good to have. But I would like to finish the HDFS part first and have that well tested. Since YARN is coming, MapRed will change, so backwards compatibility might be an issue. But feel free to add it :)
