Context menu doesn't stay open

When right clicking, the context menu immediately closes. To select anything from the menu, I have to hold right click and release it with the cursor over the desired part of the screen.

Running under Arch Linux 64bit.

This is using default GTK+ context menus. Have you retried it sometime it gets crazy as you described and most of the time it behaves as expected

I also get this issue running under Fedora 20 64bit (Gnome 3.10.2)

Issue also exists under Linux Mint 17 Qiana and by extension presumably Ubuntu 14.04. Might be deliberate but it's certainly not standard behaviour in other applications.
