Powered Hardsuits (not modsuits)
Implementation of powered hardsuits to Space Station 14, and various NON-INTERCHANGEABLE FEATURES to specific hardsuits for them to better excel at their given job. Hardsuits would not be able to compress, they are not modsuits.
They would need to charge at suit storages in order to operate, and would not have interchangeable power cells, preventing people from just wearing them 24/7.
Feedback is greatly appreciated.
Tesla/Singulo looses are now 2x more annoying to deal with. All your suit chargers are destroyed and you now suffer a "25%-75%" slowdown or fight with other crew over EVA usage. EDIT: This also uncovers the broader issue of losing power becoming a snowball effect of being unable to recharge your suit to restore power.
At the WORST I think power-less slowdown should be 30%. You are already trading off the defenses that the suit gives you, you also don't need to be glacially slow.
Here's a concept:
What if you could take regular batteries and transfer their power to the suit's internal battery? This would have a long do-after and be wildly ineffecient (only transfering a pathetic fraction of the charge) but it would be perfect in emergency situations when even just 5% battery would make a difference. This would help solve the issue PickIOH talked about imo.
Also, I think that the CE suit should absolutely have infinite power. Their suit is kind of their whole personality and would absolutely devestating to have that taken away. At the very least it should only need to be charged like once an hour so CE could still wear 24/7

Ideally, evac is called the moment a loose is confirmed, this means that unless you were already somewhat low on charge you'll probably make it to evac without getting stuck in too bad of a spot. No values are confirmed yet, but suits would likely have more than 10 minutes of charge. Overall I don't think a tesla/singulo should be easy to escape, most of the crew will already be left without EVA because of the scarcity

I think jr pacmans could work in a pinch, and if you're talking about tesla or something just getting killed then regular EVA exists too. Overall complete power loss is already rather big of an issue in the game.

All the values are subject to change following testing and such, the higher % end was more for antagonist hardsuits to punish them extra for mismanaging their charge or trying to spend the entire shift in space, or for suits that already had super high slowdown like the juggernaut suit.
