Winget cannot get version 2025.38

Open bnelissen-orisha opened this issue 2 months ago • 2 comments

Hi,

Last version on Winget is 2025.37 instead of 2025.38

Maybe same problem as https://github.com/sourcegit-scm/sourcegit/issues/1897

PR on winget-pkgs is waiting to be merged : https://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs/pull/314006

PR on winget-pkgs has been assigned to the maintainer of winget-pkgs project. I'm waiting for his/her response.

@stephengillie What is currently still missing for PR to be merged? You are currently assigned.

The winget PR merge process requires manual review by human moderators, and merges have been consistently delayed due to interference from Azure and Windows Defender. For users who rely on winget to automatically upgrade SourceGit, I recommend switching to Scoop instead. The Scoop extras bucket is automatically updated every 4 hours, and maintaining/customizing software manifests is straightforward.

Switched today

Please install this app from Scoop or download it from GitHub Release. I have decided to no longer maintain the SourceGit updates on https://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I've worked to automate the approval process, and usually only erroring PRs require human attention. (I've worked to automate that as much as possible too.)

For this PR (https://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs/pull/314006), it seems that it kept hitting an internal pipeline error - possibly related to one of the larger recent issues, I'm unsure. After this, the pipeline failed to find executables, at which point human intervention was required.
