ColabFold-style MSA Filtering on input a3m files

Hi - thanks for the great library. I'm interested to know whether there is a way to do the mmseqs (bucket-based 'diversity-aware') filtering that is used by default in ColabFold on a set of a3m files that were not generated by a mmseqs search. Since result2msa/filterresult operate on MSA DBs it seems complicated to do this, if it's indeed possible at all. Is it implemented in hhblits? Would appreciate any help!
