Android - Cannot save to /emulated/0/SmallBasic
Dear Developer, contrary to the getting started guide for Android, there is no [Go up] menu option so I can't use any user folder. Only the application folder (Android/data/...) can be used but that is not user accessible. So it is very cumbersome sharing basic programs with other devices or apps. In the past it was working fine, I guess this is because of Android restrictions, but it should be fixed. Can you please fix it? Thank you.

It is still not possible to use any user accessible forder on Android. On Windows the working folder can be chaged, I can Go Up, or set a desired path to my basic code file, but this is not working on Android 15. I must be a matter of permission, but I can't change any file access permissin for this app.
Can you please correct this issue?

The SmallBASIC android version offers a web portal for transferring files between your mobile and the desktop.
There are no plans for attempting to overcome google's security measures.

Giving access for an Android app to access user files on the internal storage of the device is a common procedure, many apps are doing that. [image: image.png]
This does not mean to overcome Google's security measures.

[image: image.png] Why cannot be this done in the case of SmallBasic too?
Also even in SmallBasic it was possible to change the folder, in the past: [image: image.png] But this is not true anymore. Can you please restore this functionality?
