[Question] What are the main differentiating features of this project ?
I did tried to find answer for this question of mine but couldn't, so i finally thought to ask about its unique features which makes it different from other similar open source projects. Dify is one popular open source project which does provide alottt of things after years of development and there are other projects like flowise etc , so i was interested to know about this project unique features or unique goals of this project which differentiate it from others :-))
@Greatz08 thanks for the comment! Definitely there are a lot of alternatives - but it all really comes down to preference. We want the Sim Studio experience to feel the best, and we offer some exciting things that other platforms don't. To give an example, how can you make a function/tool call to an LLM in Dify? That's one of the most critical things about building agents that I find pretty unintuitive there. I'm not even sure if it's possible, but based on my screenshot it's surely not obvious. Maybe I just can't find it.
There are several others akin to this. Happy to chat more in-depth about what you're looking from an agent workflow builder!
@emir-karabeg Right now i am not testing or using any open source project but 2-3 months ago i did used some projects as i mentioned, so i was just curious to know about all main differentiating features of this great project, so that in near future when i will be testing this project thoroughly, then i would love to start my testing from those unique features, so that i can save my time and can make better decision for my workflow :-)) .
This will give you rough idea about what workflow i developed :
- Gmail mails llm analysis and auto tags applied to spam or different category of mails according to my requirements to save my precious time.
- Push notification at specific time for specific task on my phone through ntfy Or push notification after detecting mail of specific user
- Some time Scheduling whatsapp message for specific groups.
- Website scraping and notifying for any changes on page. and much much more ...... ( I accomplished many things which i mentioned here through n8n but it was little bit tricky, so if this project can make things easier then it will be interesting to explore and develop more useful workflows. )
I didnt used dify workflow too much to be honest with you, but i did watch some but i didnt find it powerful and user friendly enough at that time ,so i will for sure try this project in near future and see what all things i can accomplish easily with it and wherever it will lack , i will use n8n.
