Linux Flatpak Version

Open BalooRJ1 opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Hello, I am running the Flatpak version of Simple64 on Pop OS 22.10, and I have noticed that each time I boot the emulator, I need to remap and save controller configurations, even though I am clicking save and close. These controller configurations work when binded, but for some reason are not saving when I exit the emulator. Any help with this issue is appreciated, thank you.

I can't reproduce this on Fedora. Do you mean the controller profiles you've created completely disappear each time you close the emulator?

Yes, that is correct. Is there anything I can show for troubleshooting?

Im running Nobara 40 and have the same problem of settings not being saved using default config location.

For some reason if you change the config location to some other folder. When you change settings they actually do save.

I've never run into this on Fedora, everything is saved to ~/.var/app/io.github.simple64.simple64/config and it seems to work without any issues

Ya that's the weird thing, when changing setting in the program and checking the file after closing in that location everything is just the default.

The really weird thing is I had to change the location of the config file to save the settings. However, when I tried to change the save file location to a folder in the same directory as the config, it couldn't create the save files there. Only in the default save location. Had to add the folder using Flatseal for it to create save files outside the default location.
