Code blocks are rendered, headers are not

No matter what I do I can't get the viewer to properly render markdown files, although other extensions have no issues.

Only the code blocks are rendered properly. Headers display as plain text. I have gone through all the trouble shooting steps mentioned in the help and confirmed that they are correct.

I'll be uninstalling but willing to try again if this is fixed.

That's very strange, can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing on screen?
