Support for adding audio to words.
- [ ] Add support for uploading and saving an audio for words and phrases.
- [x] Add support for text to speech on chrome and other clients where possible.
In the future it would also be possible to generate TTS with AI models and save it on the server.
Do you mean uploading audio, or chrome browser TTS? Chrome one is kind of easy to implement I think.
The audio upload will take quite some time to develop, I want to prioritize text based features first.
Well, I don't use Chrome, but being able to TTS a word or phrase in Linguacafe through the browser would be very useful. I have used this anki plugin with decent results, in case it helps. https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1436550454
@2600box I've added TTS through the browser. Available voices are different based on the OS and browser. I could only get it work on my desktop Chrome browser so far. It did not work neither on my phone's Chrome and on desktop Firefox.
But the problem is related to my setup, not linguacafe. You can test the available voices here. It will be available in v0.12.
I will probably only add savable audio for words later on, when I'll have a PC to use AI to generate TTS audio files, I'll work on other things until that.
