2.0/send pull

@xamox, I'm sending this pull request. It has its own .travis.yml file, and many things are changed. You should create a 2.0/< something > branch and merge this. Other developers can also help us with this. Give me 3-4 days to write a good wiki/blogpost regarding all the major changes and future goals.

@kscottz, @rajatkapoor, @vighneshbirodkar check this out and add comments.

Awesome, it will probably take me a couple days to go through it all, but thanks for all the hard work. I will probably merge it into a 2.0 branch then.
