The data is very sparse in tiles at low zoom levels. This may be good for some purposes, but I think it should be left up to styles to decide. Since there are so few tiles at these levels, I don't think it would substantially increase the size of the tile set overall.
I'd like water polygons at z0. NA looks very strange without the great lakes.
Currently nation labels are available at z0, national borders and state labels appear at z4, and state borders at z7. Having labels without borders often doesn't make sense (US with state labels and no borders looks bizarre). National borders should match national labels at z0. State borders should match state labels at z4 or lower.
Forest areas are available at z7, but farmland at z10 and scrub at z11 despite often covering very large areas. I'd like these to also be at z7.
