as others have noted #287 this project seems unmaintained for a few years

what other options are there? seems odd that in 2022 the JS ecosystem doesnt have anything comparable to what capistrano did in 2012...

The easy way to do it in 2022 is to use Github workflows or similar tools to deploy code on your servers from your repo. This repo should be archived.
