Launching a rocket with wheels anywhere makes it behave as if landed.

I was trying to test if my X-plane could survive "gentle" orbital reentry as the part descriptions said, so I tried launching it on a rocket in a sim, but mechjeb PVG did not work at all, and engines ran out of fuel when there was still some left. Additionally, Principia would not show orbits. It all seems to be traced to the craft being stuck in "Landed", which seems to be due to KSPWheel. Reloading and toggling gear did not help. I noticed what I retract my landing legs/wheels before I took off "grounded" in KSPWheel Module remains true which causes them to be jammed in that state until I land on them and take off again properly. This created a lot of problems for my SSTO with wheels for plane-like landings and landing legs in the rear for vertical landings.
