where does openhaystack store its location data?

Since I am launching it on a non-metal machine, I can't see the map. I was thinking of visualising this data with with a small python or js script. I looked through the 'mobile' version of openhaystack, it says that it requires a proxy ('replace it with your custom url'), but it doesn't explain how do I get that custom URL or how do I set up this proxy.

I have the same problem, no map on a OSX-KVM Virtualization of Big Sur
