Is BERT still actively developed?

https://bert-toolkit.com/download-bert says that the current release of BERT is 4 years old. Will BERT 4.1.2 or later be supported in the foreseeable future? It is a more stable version of R that avoids some possible sources of infinite loops in native R function calls (e.g. https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/DPQ/vignettes/Noncentral-Chisq.pdf )
