ASAP scan on WebUI not running after creation

Open QuanPham247 opened this issue 2 years ago • 22 comments

I have scheduled a ASAP scan, but its status is still pending after the creation. I noticed that if a scan was running, the terminal that started the WebUI would show live progress of the scan. Is there anything that I missed? image image

What distro are you using and how did you install Codrname SCNR?

Zapotek avatar Jan 06 '24 11:01 Zapotek

Kali, tried both manual and with script hm... maybe I should try to remove .scnr dir and make clean manual install once more...

Proggggger avatar Jan 06 '24 11:01 Proggggger

@Proggggger I'll install Kali and see if I can reproduce it, thanks.

Zapotek avatar Jan 06 '24 11:01 Zapotek

strange thing that it worked one time...

Proggggger avatar Jan 06 '24 11:01 Proggggger

@Proggggger I'll install Kali and see if I can reproduce it, thanks.

my command line is normal without error. just the scan wont start.. i'm using kali linux too. the command line interface work fine just the web UI

Deve-OP avatar Jan 06 '24 11:01 Deve-OP

in my case reinstall and reboot helped, maybe some system lag...

You mean the web UI work when you remove the reinstall and reboot?

Deve-OP avatar Jan 06 '24 13:01 Deve-OP

in my case it helped, but it still does not show any reason why it behaves so

maybe some processes don't stop correctly and it does not allow to start scan, or maybe something wrong with task planner (no source so no way to check...)

Proggggger avatar Jan 06 '24 13:01 Proggggger

Still couldn't reproduce, fresh Kali Virtualbox VM works fine.

Zapotek avatar Jan 07 '24 10:01 Zapotek

ok, this means issue is not kali related... I also had OpenVpn turned on, but I don't think it's reason... it's some really floating issue, without detailed logging it's hard to track... if I catch it again I'll try to explore it more

Proggggger avatar Jan 07 '24 17:01 Proggggger

Connections are to localhost so I don't think OpenVPN is the issue.

I'm still testing on Kali to try and reproduce but have yet to come across it.

Edit: Might want to try the latest package, but please first delete ~/.scnr. Uploaded it 2 hrs ago.

Zapotek avatar Jan 07 '24 17:01 Zapotek

Hey,

Can you give the latest release a try please?

Cheers!

What timezones are you folks on? Also, does the issue persist with the new Docker release format?
