Postgres Backup with password protected tar file?

Would be nice to have an extra tar parameter or a ENV variable to set a password on the backup files.

Those needing encrypted backups may be interested in my fork of this project. It adds support for this feature (though not w/ tar files). Please note that a number of other changes have been made as well (see the README for details).
