Any way to support Japanese? Use ocr -l ja-JP but it does not work.

Live Text for Japanese has been available from iOS 16/macOS 13. The latest stable macOS SDK is still 12.3. To support Japanese, the project must be compiled with the macOS 13 SDK, which is included in Xcode 14.1 RC2.
