French Translation
Hi, I'm starting a french translation on my own fork : https://github.com/Ricocotam/wtfpython
I just forked it, if you have any advice feel free to create issues/comment below
Hi @Ricocotam, Thanks! I'd really appreciate that. Could you please wait for a couple of weeks?
Actually, I'm adding new snippets and making some corrections to existing examples in a separate branch https://github.com/satwikkansal/wtfpython/tree/3.0 , so I think if you can wait until the changes are finished, we won't have to redo these changes in French version :)
Do you plan changing a lot of things ? But sure I can wait a bit or translate examples that are still true
Yes, the changes would effect 30% of the project, roughly.
Meanwhile, if you like, you can translate the examples in the section Hidden Treasures (https://github.com/Ricocotam/wtfpython#section-the-hidden-treasures), there won't be many changes in the examples of that section.
I'll let you know here once I'm done with the changes, thanks for understanding.
Hey @Ricocotam
The 3.0 branch is in stable state now. I wanted to know if you're still interested in helping with the French translation. Let me know. Looking forward!
Yup, I was waiting for news from the update :)
Just to be sure : I do modifications in the README.md file right ?
@Ricocotam Essentially yes. You can take reference from chinense translation https://github.com/leisurelicht/wtfpython-cn on how it can be done. They have taken a fork and translated other files as well (like contributing.md, etc) but I'll leave that decision totally up to you (it's your fork after all).
Just make sure you translate the 3.0 branch and not the master, because https://github.com/satwikkansal/wtfpython/tree/3.0 branch is around 30 commits ahead from master (will be merged after a few more changes). And another minor thing to take care of is having the uuids as comments in the examples (see this comment). Looking forward!
