Battery Status of on/off switch not updated after a day and requires manual reload of integration to be updated

Open Stefan-Linux opened this issue 2 months ago • 0 comments

Hi, this might be more like a feature request, when looking at "my" problem. :)

Setup: I have a simple on/off switch for my shower room light bulb, which is used (mainly) for dimming. The Bulb itself is traditionally switched (so most of the time disconnected). I'm also using an integration to track battery replacements (with an automation, if jumping from 10% to 90% -> replaced)

Problem: The battery was low (1%) so I changed it (yesterday evening). I checked in the Ikea App today (noon) and there it was already on "good" / full. In the integration I still saw "1%". As soon as I reloaded the integration, it jumped up to the expected 100%.

Request: Is it possible to set an update interval for this kind of information? That is something that should be done between 24h and 1h timeframe. Maybe this can be added as parameter in the setup of the integration.

I'm not sure if this is already implemented and did not work or what triggered my update problem. But I think it's not my first time I saw this. But this time I verified it / tracked it to the integration. (Before, there was also other stuff not working as expected. Not this time.) Note: I have seen similar issues, trying to properly fetch the status of this light bulb. I tried to automatically set the brightness depending on time of day with an automation. But this only randomly works as expected / catches when the light bulb is "reconnected". This is also true for some other lights, even if permanently powered. It looks like status on/off is properly provided, but brightness is not updated / kept from an older state. - But I did not invest time yet, to dig into this deeper (Sorry!), so this is only a remark, as it might be related.

Thanks for your work! Stefan
