Portable Ditto will not load between reboots &/or randomly quits.

I've registered Ditto for restart, have in Startup folder, run as administrator, have replaced all portable files completely, even have Windows Tasks restarting it if it quits/crashes (which it seemed to a lot), but somehow it still doesn't start on logon or restore, and isn't restarted (and I constantly forget it isn't running).

Any tips?

Could it be a problem with the working directory, i've seen that happen when starting on windows startup. Try creating a shortcut to Ditto and make sure you set the "Start in:" folder in the shortcut settings. See if that helps.

Can you look in the windows event viewer for any clues.

I seem to have the same issue... I installed the downloadable version https://github.com/sabrogden/Ditto/releases/download/3.24.214.0/DittoSetup_64bit_3_24_214_0.exe, and it seems that application is not starting. The start entry is in this registry key: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Afterwards, I added a startup entry here: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp. Now ditto seems to start, but after a few seconds the program vanishes (crash?). Probably the same thing what is happening the first start, from the registry.

I cannot find anything in the event log. What should one be looking for to diagnose this issue?
